It’s July 21st, 2024; We have an original easy-listening country song for you on this fine Sunday. Is this a pity party song? You tell us. Maybe it’s self love! I think everyone can all feel this way sometimes. A nod to Waylon, Willie, John Prine, Patsy Cline, George Straight, and more. Love the steel guitar on this tune. An easy melody, mixed for radio-ready play by Steven Cooper of Nashville, TN.

Self sing

Here’s the two-hundred-third new music post for 2024, as I consistently give you new music to listen to and enjoy. I sing to soothe and suit myself most of the time. Let us know what you think of this easy-listening song:

Music soothes the savage beast

What’s your favorite style of music? Blues? Country? Rock? Let me know in the comments. Which style of music soothes the beast in you?

Speaking of beasts, the bison are returning!

Screen capture: Story of the bison returning by Shirley MacLaine and Brit Elders via Shirley’s monthly email letter I subscribe to.

Richard and I love bison meat, but I’ve yet to find it (or ground lamb) in our local grocery stores here in New England. And that’s okay because we’re all for seeing the bison return in great numbers. Richard has high iron anyway, so it’s better that we consume more vegetables, poultry, and fish than red meat.

Grateful for ALL (in all ways)

Yes, Everything Happens for a Reason and Everything Resolves to Gratitude. Knowing that each of us (as fractals) uplifts my mind and allows me to view life as a lively kaleidoscope grand design that moves about in an ever-expanding, revolving, melodious, consciousness. Though our personal preferences may differ, I believe there’s something to be grateful for about everything.

Enjoy (IN Joy) everything and love! Be Everything All the Time. May we all soar in ’24!

Yours in expanding, easy going, spiraling consciousness,

Sheila “Spiral Sister” Murrey

  1. Love it…reminds me of what I suspect musicians must feel sometimes when they’re on stage and the crowd isn’t paying attention. Do it because you love it — sounds like an anthem to me! 🥰

  2. This is fantastic! It captures that classic retro country essence from the era when country music was truly genuine. The nod to legendary country artists adds a beautiful touch. This one’s a definite hit!
